  1. That's not entirely true. In terms of storyline and creativity, most people
would prefer Japanese anime. But when it comes to technical view point of
animation specifically, the animation in American films/cartoon are
smoother and more convincing than those in Japanese anime. Walt Disney's
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was the mark of the Golden Age of
American Animation back in the early days of the 20th century, and has
always been an inspiration to many Japanese animators.

  2. Chiyoko means "child of a thousand generations", according to a baby naming
    site.

  4. Yeah, it's really stupid of me to forget mentioning masterpeices like
Secret of Nihm, All Dogs go to Heaven, not to mention a lot of Disney
    movies.

  5. as much as i like japanese anime....i still have to give some perks to the
Western world animations, naming a few of my favorites: Swan Princess; Lion
    King; An American Tale, etc.

  12. You are right. The winning seat for at the Oscar's is pretty much paid for.
I can't remember what podcast but they talked about how movie makers give
lavish gifts to the voters to "help" keep their movies on the minds of the
voters (they have lots of movies to consider).

  15. Actually I like Pixar and the old Disney and frankly, I can't really say
that every animated film in America is bad. Disney are still classics and
without them manga wouldn't exist. I don't know much about Dreamworks
although I heard that both Kung Fu Panda movies were VERY good.

  16. Japanese animation is indeed better than any animated b.s created in
America. I'm tired of all the animated prequels, sequels and three-quels
coming out of Hollywood. Animators in America don't like to think hard or
    get creative enough.

  17. I label all of those movies as chickflicks, because they are so far from
logical that only a woman can truely enjoy them.

  18. Well I love Pixar, but aside from that I have to agree. (crap dream works)
